Proverbs 5:1-23
Father I thank you for Liz this morning and the strength we recieve from each other though ur marriage. I ask that you would continue to strengthen us and use us in your service for bringing blessing to others. I pray for marriages that are struggling at the moment and ask that you would help all to remain faithful and avoid temptation.

Prverbs 4:10-27
Father God I thank you that in your word the bible you gve clear advice on how to behave and prosper. Father you know that I have sometimes been disobedient and have not kept your rules for liing - I am sorry for this. I thak you for your forgiveness and restoration that you bought for me with the costly life of your son, my saviour, Jesus. Help me to behave appropriately ad demonstrates this to others.

Proverbs 4:1-9
Father wisdom is such a precious gift. I ask that you would give me more of it that I might not only live wisely myself but be able to pass it on to my children. I thankyou that I am our child and therefore Father, please pass your wisdom onto me that I might do only what is good for me and brings you pleasure and glory.

Psalm 115
Lord Jesus, you are the giver of all good gifts and it is to you I give my priase and adoration. Lord in times of success and triumph I pray that I would always turn to you with heart felt thanks and grattitude. For the times you have protected me and for the times you have rescued me, I praise you. I tust in you, the living saviour.

Luke 12:22-34
Lord I don' worry much, I am reasonably conident of your provision for me and my eternal future with you. If I worry it tends to be with what others think of me, this is partly to do wih my lack of self confidence and smetimes to do with my desire to be a god witness and not to let you down. At the moment I am a little concerned about my capacity to become a headteacher, but I trust in your watch over me and my situation.

2 Cor 9:1-15
Lord, thank you for the reminder about the positive impact of encouragement against the negative impat of critisism. Help me be an encourager to all I meet. Once again I ask that you would help me be generous with the resources yo hve given me too. Help me be a cheerful giver.

2 Cor 8:16-34
Father I am aware that gifts can sometimes be misinterrpreted and I ask that you would help me hear what you are saying in certain situatons o that I might notcause offence by my giving. Lord help me quite simply to have wisdom in doing good.

2 Cor 8:1-15
Lord Jsus, help me avoid comparing myself and my situaton to others, but to simply enjoy the life and expereinces you have called me too. Woud you continue to develop in me real generosity that I may give if what I have to benefit those inneed. This, not only of financial means, but of all you have blessed me with.

Father there are times in my life when I get things worng. Help me I pay to be truly repentant and bring peace wherever I can. In light if relationships, would you help me be transparent so that others may see yo through me..

2 Cor 6:11-7:1
Father God, you have called me to be part of this world yet set apart from it. I ask that you would help me get the balance right. Help me build relationships where I can have influence on people's lives for the sake of your kingdom whilst, at the same time, helping me not be tempted away from your call.

Psalm 116
Father Ithnak you that you are always watching over me. How muh you protect me and how much you let me make mistakes I do not know. I do thank you for te times you have comfortedmewhe I have made mistakes and for when youhave restored me and gave me new direction. I give you thanks and prais for your constant watch over my life.

Ezikiel 3:16-27
Father thank you for your word and the specific acconts of your interaction with you people I thank you for the guidance it rovides. Help me hear you speaking through the stoies of other people. Lord you have called me to go and make disciples, as I go I ask that you would be with me.

2 Cor 6:3-13
I ask Father that you would help me live a transparent life. In doing this I wish others to see my vulerability and yet my strength that comes form you. Help me deelo more opennes in my relationhips, that hrough my life, you may draw others to yourself. Thank you for Paul's example.

2 Cor 5:11-6:2
Lord being an ambassador of the new life you give is rather a demanding task. You have offered me the opporunity of a completely fresh start, your word tells me that I am a new creation. Lord I sometimes feel that I truggle to shake off th old life Would you help me get rid of all the ol ways, that I ma truly be a new creatio, a good ambassador for you.

2 Cor 5:1-10
Lord Jesus through this study of Corinthians I am begining to understand a little more of wat Paul meant when he wrote 'for me to live is Christ, to die is gain'. The image of my body as a tent is one that hels me understand this statement. A tent is a temporary dwelling place that is used for a while before returning home to bricks and mortar. Thank you that my permanent dwelling is with you.

2 Cor 4:7-18
Father I ask thatyouwould help me see the challenges I face in the light o eternity. Would you help me use these challenges as opportunities t demonstrate the life of the RisenLord Jesus, Help me too to keepperspectie, I have a wonderful future ahead of me.

2 Cor 4:1-6
Father I ask that I would not be surprised or derailed by oppostion. I thank you for this example of Paul who, when faced with opposition, responded with grace stemming from faith in you. Fathe help me deelop my confidence in you that I too may demonstrate grace in all situations.

Father God, you are great in every way. Forgive me when I underestimate your greatness and try and fit you ino my understanding, You are not like me, you are perfect in every way, yo hold all of your creatio in your hands you are beyong comprehendion. BUT I know that you love me adn I woship you.

Exodus 34:27-35
Father I thank you for the pattrn of regular time I spend with you, thank ou for the dicsipline you have helped me develop. I trust that others will notice the difference it is making in me. Lord I ask that you would help me consider how I might be able to spend more extended periods of time with you so that you may make me more radiant for your kingom's sake.

2 Cor 3:7-18
Father I ask that my life may eflect your glory. Father in the actions I make, in the words I say in the thoughts I haveand in the way I look, Father would you use me to draw people to yourself. I offer myself, Lord lt your glory shine through me. Prevent me from hiding my light under a bucket!

Paul records in this passage that you -
Open doors
Give peace o mind
Give victory
Give us the aroma of Christ
Have written yourself upon our hearts
Have given us Holy Spirit so that we can be confident of our future

Help me Father to take on board these qualities and be agood and faithdul witness for Jesus my saviour.

2 Cor 1:23-2:11
Father I thank you for the wisdom shown here from Paul as a ledr. Ithank you too that his wisdom is borne outof a pastoral heart for hispeope, your people. I ptay for myself and m fellow leaders of ECBC. Lord, please give us wisdom and a pastoral heart foryour people in Redcar and the surrounding areas.

2 Cor 1:12-22
I didn't find this passage easy to understand. From it I am reminded that you Father God are completley reliable and are always true to your word. Paul knew you so well and followed your guidance, this was how he could deal with the critisism. Help me know you better that every action of mine may be in accordance with your will and bring you pleasure.

2 Cor. 1:1-11
Father I thank you that through the many struggles I have had, I have grown in you.I have reciecved comfort from you and I oray therefore that I may bring comfort to others. Lord I pray for my friends that are facing trials at this time, Ruth and Rac in particular. Lord bring yur comfort to them and use me ask.

Psalm 55
These words of David could so easily speakof a situation that happened just yesterday. Our deteriorating society and the beakdown in relationships is as current today as it was when this psalm was forst witten, Help me always, regardless of the circumstnace I am in, find protection, guidance and encouragement from you O lord.

Luke 9:21-27
Lord, taking up my cross and following you is an ongoing process and not a one offecision Lord tank you ha this passage reminds me that you are continually chnging and develoing me. Help me never to be coplacent but always seeking more of you.

1 Peter 5:1-14
One of the greatest characteristics of a leader is humility. Help me as a leader to remember that I need grace and compassion and so do the people I lead. Lord I ask that you would help me in both my leadership roles to be full of humility and at the same time full of drive and passion. Thank you that I can throw all of my anxieties on you because you care for me.

! Peter 4:12-19
I do not really experience persecution because of my faith and therefore found it hard to pray for those who do. I thank you for organisations like CSW and pray that you would equip them to support the vulnerable and needy in your world. Lord I pray for the persecuted Christians in Orissa, India and ask for justice for them.

Lord, bad habits are easy to build, good ones take more effort and time. Help me in all I do to build good habits that aviod sin and bring you glory. Lord make me negative towards sin of every kind and positive towards sinners of every type for thier salvation and your glory.

1 Peter 3:8-22
Lord perhaps I don't get angry enough to give someone a piece of my mind. Lord would you help me stand up against injustice and lack of commitment. Lord help me always to know the mind of Chirst and give me I pray a soft heart to bring correction in a |Christlike manner. Gentle but firm.
