Father as your light shines on me today I pray that you will continue to do your transforming work in my life. Let your lazer light burn away all that is not holy and continue to change me to become more like Jesus.

Father God, as I conclude my studies in Nehemiah I want to thank you for the lessons you have beeen teaching me. Especially about the seriousness of sin and the joy that comes from the freedom Jesus won for me on the cross. Today in particular I pray for Church leaders and ask that you would give me and them courage to deal with compromise and the ability to offer clear leadership.

Thank you Ftaher that you have dealt with my sin. Lord I thank you for the wonderful future I have. You are full of compassion and grace. Lord I realise because of your love for me you may withdraw blessing to encourage a more sin free life. Lord I invite you to do all you can to change me into the person you created me to be. Help me be compliant clay in your hands.

Thank you Father God for your steadfastness and you faithfulness. You have watched over me since my conception. I am sorry for the times when I have let myself and you down and committ right now to serving you more faithfully. Father I thank you once more for your act of salvation. Help me rejoice in my freedom from sin.

Father, thank you so much for your word, As I read and understand it makes me realise how much I have sinned against you and causes me to be sad, I read on and realise what you have done for to rescue me, then I rejoice. Help me to get something out of my daily bile study that develops my relationship with you.

Father I thank you this morning for the very practical advice found inn Nehemiah. Help me krrp focused on the tasks you have called me to do and avoid those tempatations that come along to distract me from my work and call. Lord Iask that you would give me wisdom and strength that I might prioritise the work I have to do that will have impact on your kingdom.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do." Eph 2:10.
Thank you for all you have prepared for me to do as a husband and dad, as a leader within education and as a leader within your church. Guard, protect, keep amd guide me as I live to serve you in all I do.

Daniel in the lion's den is such a familiar story. It speaks of 2 things. The importance of continued prayer and absolute dependance on God and God's complete faithfulness/ He can be trusted at all times and in all situations. Thank you Father for the prayers you have answered recently, help me become more and more dependent on you.

Help me Lord Jesus to speak out against injustice as Nehamiah did. Again he waited before acting. I ask Lord that you would be especially close to help me recognise injustice, listen to you and then act out of integrity.

I am again impressed with how Nehemiah led his people through a difficult time. Here the difficulty is linked to ridicule and opposition. Nehemiah responds with prayer first and then action, he is successful. I ask Father, as I face difficulties you would prevent fear ruling but cause me to come to you in dependancy through prayer and then give me courage and boldness to act.

Thank you Father for all those that encourage me in the work I do for your Kingdom. Thank you that for me, this encouragement brings a desire to do even more, better things for you. However, I also thank you for today's lesson learnt from Nehemiah - taking time, not rushing in, weighing up situatios - continue to develop this within me I pray.

Father would you help me today to get the balance right between planning and praying in all aspects of my life. Help me to realize as Nehemiah did that one without the other achieves very little. Help my actions speak of the great love I have for you.

Father as I start a study of Nehemiah today I ask that you would particularly speak to me about leadership. The character of a leader when in public and private are the keys to success. Help me not rgard my status so imprptant that I forget the purpose you have called me to leadership for. Lord, Nehemiah had a real concern for your people, help me do the same.

Father God I praise you this morning and thank you for my readings throughout this past weeek. I have been reminded of your power and ability to heal, provide, forgive and love. Also of you love for me demonstrated through Jesus' actions at Calvery and your supreme authority ans sovereignty. Praise You!

Thank you Jesus that because of your great sacrifice I have the opportunity to stand witht he multitude wearing white robes and holding palm branches giving you praise. I ask Lord Jesus that you would help me set my sights upon this wonderful future and cause this present life to be more honouring towards you.

Lord Jesus I do thank you once more for your words and encouragement found in scripture. I want to thank you for the numerous ocassions when you have proved yourself absolutely trustworthy. In John 4: 43-54 I have read of the royal Official who took you at your word and whose son was healed. Give me Lord Jesus I pray that assurance in your word. 'we are more than conquerers'

Father I thank you for Liz and the instrumental work she did in helping me find relationship with you. Lord I thank you for her ongoing steadfast faith, for her consistency and her love of you. Bless her I pray in all she does.

Thank you Jesus that you are always with me. I thnk you too for the life giving water you give that acts within me, I pray for my friends and colleagues that they too may be open to recieve life giving water from you.

Thank you Jesus that you came to save me. Thnak you that the words you speak are from your Father in heaven. Help me to listen to what your saying and rejoice at the sound of your voice.

Thank you Jesus that your light wants to shine throughout my whole life. I ask that you would illuminate my dark places. What I am asking for here is for you to continue to develop my holiness that I might become more like Jesus in all I do.

Lord, I am asked to conside what heaven will be like. My response is based on what I have learnt from scripture, a place where there is no more suffering or pain or hatred, a place where my only task will be to worship you along with a multitude of other sved souls. I thank you that I can start to enjoy this quality of life right now, help me to worship you today.

Thank you Jesus that you are the giver of life. Thank you that because of your great love for me you give me power to overcome. Lord Jesus as I become more nad more depemdant on you, I look forward to overcoming situations that previously would have caused me to stumble and fall.

Father God I pray that you would make me a man of action not just words. Would you help me to stand up for what is right and challenge wrong doing and misunderstanding. Would you give me wisdom and insight along with boldness to make me more like Jesus.

I do class my work colleagues as fiends, though I guess some would seeme as their line manager. Father I pray that you would develop in me a character that would encourage them to approach me not just on work issues but on life and spiritual issues too. When they do this Father, help me meet them on thier terms.

I thnak you Father that my salvation does not depend on my mental ability, my character, my deeds or my status. I thank and praise you this morning that my salvation depends on just one thing - your grace -Hallelujah.

Lord when you first met Andrew's brother you changed his name for the calling you had upon his life. Today Lord I thank you for the call and purpose you have upon my life. I ask that through the power of Holy Spirit you would help me fulfil my calling. Peter became the rock on which your Church has been built. Use me.

Thank you Father for the call on my life to be a husband and father, a leader within a school and a leader within your church. Lord, this is who you have moulded me to be. Help me pursue my calling. Lord keep my eyes fixed upon you and help me remain true to my calling.

All powerful God I come to you this morning and join in the praise of the psalmist. From your lofty position you remain true to your core values of love, mercy and compassion. I pray that in my position at home, at work and in the church that you would not let power pull me away from your core values. Father I ask that love, mercy and compassion would be evident in all I do.

Father God throughout this year will you please help me develop a right perspective. A perspective that always makes you my first port of call. I know that if you enable me to do this the rest of my worries and concerns will fall into their correct place and not overwhelm me.

Lord I thank yo that you came and I ask that you would give me a clearer understanding of how much you have done for me so that I may overflow with Joy, love and grace to those around me.

A new year, a new begining with 365 days full of potential to serve and follow you. In Joh'ns gospel I read that the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Thank you 'word of life' for coming and for the words you have left for me in the bible. I pray at the start of this new year that I would give you plenty of opportunities to speak to me through your word. I love you and committ to getting to know you better throughout this year.
