Lord your word tells me that if I love you I will obey your commands. Thank you for my reading today that goes further - if I am obedient you will meet my needs, help me trust you in each circumstance to meet my needs.

Lord, develop an attitude in me that continually expresses my grattitude for what you have done.

Lord would you use all my life experiences to deepen my relationship with you. Lord thank you that very event or experience I go through is an opportunity for you to teach and develop me, help me be reflective and open to what you are teaching me.

Thank you Lord that in the midst of diffficult times you provide a way out. As in the scripture (Ex 14:1-18) today Lord you are perhaps even the cause of some difficulty, I pray that you would continue to guide and direct my life and lead me in the way I should go. If and when you 'part the sea' for me give me boldness to walk through.

Father thank you for the past, for the way you have guided me, thank you too for all the times when you have guided me without me knowing or being aware. I am convinced the journey I have taken has been ordained by you. I am therefore confident about the future. You guided your people with pillars of smoke and fire in the exodus - Lord please guide me as clearly as this.

Lord thank you through the pattern of Christian worship I have the opportunity to remember what you have done for me. Help me to celebrate in the times of celebration, to reflect during communion and other times and as I follow my daily patttern of study and prayer I ask that you remind me of all you have done for me that I may worship you more appropriately.

I'm reminded again today Lord that my salvation is not about anything I did, it is about you choosing me. Lord I praay for my friends who are not yet christians, Lord would you call them to yourself and use me in the process.

Lord back in 1988 I chose to respond to your invitation of salvation. Thank you, Although I have nerever completelty rejected you and your offer, we both know in the past I have wandered. Father, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, help me choose the right way.

Lord as I continue in my study, I pray for world leaders. Lord would you impart to them wisdom. Would you give them an ability to govern wisely, Lord to consider others circumstances and not just their own. To consider those they lead, their neighbouring countries and indeed the world as a whole.

Lord thank you for the offer of wisdom. Like with any other gift, you give it freely to those who will accept yet the benefit is priceless. Will you develop wisdom in me that will benefit my family and those I have regular contact with.

Father thank you for the practical wisdom offered in Proverbs 5. Lord I pray for my own marriage. Thank you so much for Liz. Would you continue to protect both of us and watch over our marriage. Lord I pray for those in our church who are facing difficulties in their relationships - bind them together I pray. 'What God has joined, let no one seperate.'

Lord Jesus thank you that at calvery you bought for me salvation by paying the price of my sin. Lord I pray you would help me live out my faith bu guarding my heart and the way I feel, my mouth and what I say, my eyes and what I focus upon, my feet and where I go and what I do.

Thank you Father that the bible is the 'essential guide to wisdom'. Would you help me apply the truth thst I have learnt through reading, study and listening to the way I live my life. Let my faith be evident by my actions.

Thank you Lord for the health and well being I am experiencing at the minute. Thank you that you look after my body mind and soul. For each area I pray you would help me keep fit and healthy.

Lord thank you that you have called us to be generous - help me to be generous - a small act of service just for you. Help me more and more to trust in you and do good.

Thank you Lord that I have the opportunity to be a friend of yours. Lord, I appreciate your; Greatness, Wisdom, Common Sense, Discipline, Humour, Healing, Creation, Majesty. All of these I enjoy too.

Father, you gospel has to be bad news for people before they realise the good news within it. Lord I remember son after the joy of turning to you how accutely aware of my own sin I was - then I realised how good your offer of salvation was. Keep me from flattery thst I may continue to be aware of my sinful nature and give me strength of will to avoid falling into sin.

Lord thank you that you oppose injustice. I pray today for those involved in stoping human trafiking. Lord enable them to be successful in bringing an end to this inhumane trade and therfroe bring freedom to those being traffiked. I pray Lord for your judgement to fall on those trafficking.

Comforter God, thank you for the support, care and guidance you bring to me. Would you help and equip me to bring comfort to those who need it,

My study notes ask me to think and pray for hopeless situations - I can't think of many - I am struggling to think of one. Lord in every difficult, apparently hopless situation I do believe you have the ability to act. Would you help me convey this to those in despair.

Lord with regard to me sin, thank you that you forgive as I repent. Lord help me develop a soft heart and a thick skin so that I may be more concerned about what you think of me than what others think of me.

Lord I pray today that I may know your presense working so powerfully in my life that othes too may be aware of your greatness. Persistance, Polarity, Power, Perception, Purpose.

My life is not about me, its all about you. I thnk you that you were willing to lay down your life for me. You have set me free and now I live my life for your glory, knowing I have a great inheritance.

Lord help me to be always readt to respond. When situations arise where there is a role for me to play, help me to be willing to play my part. I pray also Lord that you would help me find time to rest and dicsipline my free time.

Thank you Lord for reminding me today that although the job description you have given me is hard, you've also equipped me to do it. Lord today I pray for opportunities to share your good news and for courage to act upon them.

Lord I understand that faoth is about taking small steps on a journey of uncertain direction. When things appear to be totally against me, still help me to be strong in my belief and carry on walking and trusting in you.

Lord thank you that in the account of you meeting the demon possessed man we see in you power and authority. Lord help me realise that you are full of power and authority as you watch over me. Lord Jesus please be Lord of all my life.

Luke 8: 22-25
22One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. 23As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25"Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.
In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

Thank you Jesus that you have power to calm the storms of life - help me trust and rely upon you.

Jesus thank you that you gave your life for me so that I might have freedom and the opporunity to experience life in all its fullness. Thank you that you have given me your light to shed wherever I am. Help me be a good shedder of light by what I say and do. Help me to to shed your light when no one is watching - continue to shape my character I pray.

Lord I am reminded today of the need to persevere with faith, to keep on keeping on. Lord I pray today for those who have struggled to keep on keeping on but instead have drifted from you, Lord call them back I pray.
