I really like the image of being grafted into an olive tree. Lord I thank you that my strength comes from you the root. Thank you for the heritage and tradition I have therefore inherited because you grafted me in.

Father, I pray today for Christian brothers and sisters throughout your world. In particular those in difficult situations, namely Afganistan, Iraq, Zimbabwe and China - encourage these today I pray.

Lord I pray that you would give me wisdom and opportunities to share the gospel. Would you show me clearly who needs to hear your message, who is ready and when and how to communicate.

Thank you Jesus that your are Lord of all and Lord of everything. As I think about next week, I thank you that you are Lord of all - for the leaders meeting on Monday, for my work at Huntcliff, for my contributions to Community Leadership, I thank you that you are Lord of all and Lord of everything.

I'm reminded this morning that my salvation is all to do with God's grace in Jesus Christ and nothing to do with me - no matter what I do I can't make God love me any more or any less. Lord I pray that I may live accordingly and yet also work to bring you glory.

Thank you Father God that we are never beyond hope. You are merciful to me.

Father God, thank you that you have displayed your glory even through people who have rejected you. Would you show your glory through me, someone trying to be your friend.

Lord I pray that you would develop in me a real heart for my friends who do not yet know you. Would you make this a natural concern and not something that is forced or hard work.

Lord will you help me this week to remember that nothing can seperate me from your love. Will you help me live with gratitude for all you have done and all you provide for me.

Father thank you that you ask us to wait upon you - Lord today in my moments of quiet I pray you would direct my spirit to cause me to pray in your will.

Lord I thank you that a future with you is a future secure. Lord I pray that I may communicate this effectively as I speak at Slingsby tomorrow.

Thank you that you have never left or forsaken me even though I have wandered in the past. Thank you ofr the promises you have made to me Lord. - my tongue a sharp 2 edged sword to bring your word to the peole. (Andrew - prophecy)

Help me to live expecting these to come true.

Thank you Father for the times you have been so special to me - adoption, marriage, work opportunities - thank you that you're there for me all of the time, but especially with those big decisions. Help me to remember your help and guidance - help me to share these times of closeness with my family and together celebrate your goodness.

Thank you Father fot the OT story of the passover meal that poits to Jesus the sacrificial Lamb of God. Thank you Jesus that because of your sacrifice I am now safe, sheltering under the blood you shed for me on the cross.

Father God, your are generously abundant. Thank you for all you lavish upon me. Help me to use all you give to bring you glory. Help me be generously abundant with all I have.

Lord would you show me clearly the areas in my life where I compromise my faith in you. Would you help me to put right these areas so that I may shed your light wherever I go.

Lord I thank you for the stability and blessing in my life at the moment. Thank you for the great family time we have just had at Disneyland. I pray for this to continue - continue to encourage me through my study that I may hear from you on a regular basis.

Thank you Lord that you always give people a way out. Lord thank you that you provide a way for me too - cleanse my heart O lord and make me whole.

All powerful God thatnk you that you have been faithful to me through my life - especially I thank you for my healing and the life that has followed.

Father God thank you that you equip your people to do the tasks that you have called them to do. Will you equip me to do what you are calling me to - especially today as a husband and father.

Father thanbk you that you love and welcome everyone into your kingdom. Help me develop this attitude in my life. Help me avoid looking down on people - help me to see them as you see them.

Jesus, thank you that you are Lord of all, judge of all and saviour to all. May Christians throughout your world have opportunities to share this good news.

Saviour to all, I thank you for giving me a new start, would you provide opportunities for me to share your good news with others. Equip me, guide and direct me and use me in your kingdom.

Thank you Father for the discipline of study you have helped me establish during 2008. Would you help me develop this time so I may hear from you more often and with more certainty.

Father, today I pray for those who believe in you but haven't experienced Jesus.
Father thank you that you love all and sent Jesus to pay the price for our sin.
Jesus thank you that you were obedient, even to death on a cross.
Holy Spirit would you reveal this truth to us all.

Thank you for the wonders you have done in my life, would you give me boldness to share openly with all who need to hear how powerful you are.

Lord thank you for those who have supported my Christian development, in particular Pete, Ian and Phil. Lord help me to draw alongside those who need encouragement. Would you use me in the weeks ahead to encourage and disciple younger believers.

Father I pray this morning for those who deny you and persecute your people. I am also mindful of the fact that apathy in our country and not hatred stops many people enjoying the blessing of a life lived with you. Help me be passionate and not apathetic.

Lord Jesus I thank you for the times when you have intervened in my life -
